In the lead-up to Wrongful Conviction Day, join author of Redeeming Justice, attorney and fierce advocate for justice, Jarrett Adams, who, at the age of 17, was wrongly convicted for a crime he didn’t commit in Wisconsin. In conversation with Innocence Project Executive Director, Christina Swarns, Jarrett takes us through his remarkable story that demonstrates the limits — and possibilities — of our country’s legal system.

About the author: Jarrett Adams is a leading defense and civil rights attorney and co-founder of the nonprofit Life After Justice. Jarrett practices law in both federal and state courts throughout the country. In his memoir, Jarrett reflects on his journey to exoneration after a wrongful conviction, the aftermath of reclaiming and rebuilding his life, and his drive to support other exonerees. He created Life After Justice to prevent wrongful convictions and build an ecosystem of support for exonerees. Jarrett earned his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and has won awards for his work with the clemency petition of Reynolds Wintersmith, which was ultimately granted by President Barack Obama.
